Feast your eyes on this. It’s the latest delivery we’ve had from Libertine Libertine, for the Spring / Summer season, all now live on our online store. Having already had some pieces from their SS’12 collection including some brilliant legwear & outerwear, the latest delivery is more suited to the warmer summer months.

The use of vibrant colours, considered fabric & material choices in production & then topped off with some playful design makes the Danish brands Spring / Summer collection one not to be overlooked. This delivery sees a combination of tee’s & more brilliantly designed legwear.

Firstly with the ‘Dirty’ variation of the Brake tee, available from our online store in 3 vibrant summer colourways (bossa nova, surf blue & moonstruck). Produced using 100% cotton, details include the washed finish along the sleeve & collar stitching as well as the stitched brown label with embossed logo.

Also making an appearance for the summer are the Choir Shorts which use a rug print design & incorporates a whole host of colours without appearing too garish. Again, there’s a focus on simplicity & quality of production & materials. The colourful print design on the Choir Shorts make them a brilliant summer piece for this season. We’ve decided to pick out some more of our favourite pieces across the board from Men’s & Women’s brands we have in currently, what better way to start than with one of our more recent additions, MHL by Margaret Howell.

The women’s Deckchair Stripe Shirt from MHL by Margaret Howell is a short-sleeved shirt by which uses a red / navy vertical stripe in it’s design. Made using 100% cotton, features include a button through single breast pocket and easy cut in it’s fit.

A chance now to get a look in detail at our latest deliver from Swedish brand Our Legacy.  As part of their Spring / Summer 2012 collection, we now have two new styles of shirt available in-store and online.

The first of the two is pictured below, Our legacy 1950s Shirt Croissant Blue. Features on this shirt include a small chest pocket and high vents on the sides, a button down collar. In terms of choices of material, it was made using a super thin almost see through fabric, perfect for warmer days and nights.

The other addition is the Our Legacy Placket Shirt Indigo Stripe. The Placket Button down shirt is a slim fitting shirt, found here in a striped indigo cotton from Portugal. Details include Placket detailing, no chest pocket and a small sized button down collar. Rounded hem, narrow sleeves and mother of pearl buttons.

In terms of design, things are now a bit cosier and we’ve been able to put our own touch (along with the design prowess of a certain Mr. Rich Gollaman) into the store’s appearance. And as we mentioned before the move,  being at the forefront of one of the city’s thriving areas has been pretty enjoyable so far and even more so in the summer months.

Back by popular demand, the Our Legacy Perfect tee. Since all you folk seem to get on so well with this simple summer piece out of Swedish brand Our Legacy’s collection for this season, we’ve got a re-stock of the Perfect tee available in store and online now.

Available in Sanforized Brown or Black, the short sleeved tee is produced using a washed cotton. The materials used and the actual fit of the tee from are evidence of their direct attention to combining elements functionality with comfort. Another feature of the Perfect Tee is the vintage wash it uses enables the tee will progressively begin to look better with each wear. They won’t be about for long, available online here

The latest 0f the new arrivals to our store this season sees the return of Danish brand, Han Kjøbenhavn & in a sentence, to describe them, or as they put it..‘Lovingly conceived May 1st 2008 on the mean streets of Copenhagen, Denmark. Han is made of all the ingredients that form the funda- mentals of Danish design..’ 

The four styles we have available are the Han Wolfgang Tortoise (pictured immediately below) which are produced with the classic Wayfarer shaped frame in mind with the Tortoise shell styled finish.

The next style is the Han Timeless Clip On Sunglasses. Again produced with a classic style of eyewear in mind, the Han Timeless frames have an Amber Tortoise finish and also use clear lenses with additional clip on UV lenses.

Following that we have the Han Ed Sunglasses in Grey which use a transparent grey acetate frame & a new style for us here at Ideology. Again, the unisex Ed shades followsuit of Han’s classic approach to design of sunglasses.

The last style which we have in store are the Han Sunglasses Wolfgang Black Army. Similar to the first style however these combine a black front with army tortoise arms in their finish.

If you weren’t already aware, we’ve recently started stocking women’s items as well as the wealth of menswear & accessories we have to offer. For the Spring / Summer 2012 season we have pieces from the likes of YMC & also footwear perfect for the Summer from Dr. Martens which you’ll have seen previously in our news section. This features gives a look at the host if pieces we have for this season from  Libertine Libertine.

The womenswear pieces from the Danish brand are fairly simplistic in their design, with a focus on the choice of fabrics being the main selling point, an emphasis on how highly in esteem they hold quality of materials when it comes to clothing production.

The collection is classy yet comfortable encompassing a combination of summer legwear with the high waisted linen Free Shorts, jerseys and also pieces such as the Eagle dress which sits somewhere between formal and casual wear.

A look now at the women’s footwear from Dr. Martens which has recently gone live on our online store. We currently have 3 styles available from our website including the Pink Rose Meadow style, the Carrigan cut-out shoe in burgundy and also the Carrie shoe in Grey.

The Pink Meadow Print Floral Shoe (images below) arr part in the DM 1461 style, with features including a plain Welted sole, no visible construction thread in it’s finish and a a floral print on canvas.

The Burgundy cut-out and Carrie shoe in Grey are part of the  Dr. Martens  Kensington collection, which offers a refined take on their classic styles of footwear.  Produced using a ‘Classic Rub Off’ style of leather, the finish on the Carrigan shoe incorporates a traditional grain with a rub-off surface to reveal an undertone whilst the Carrie uses the ‘Wild Flowers’ design as a floral print on fine Grey base canvas.

Both shoes also incorporate an interesting cut-out design on the upper, their take on the traditional Oxford style.

The jacket is made using 100% Twill cotton, it incorporates a three patch pockets on the front as well as an interior button fastened pocket. The three button closure also on the front exterior can be rolled down to two or up to four depending on your mood or occasion. A perfect jacket to wear in both a formal or casual setting and available in a grey/green or brick colourway.

Libertine Libertine are a brand that was originally  established in Copenhagen during the summer of 2009 by Rasmus Bak, Pernille Schwarz and Peter Munch Ovesen with the intention of creating a brand built on an ethos of  both high quality and producing well-designed pieces.

Drawing influence from a whole host of sources including the city and contemporary culture, the Libertine Libertine brand describe their collections as ‘effortless design consisting of seasonal styles and a new take on classics.’

The collection from the Danish brand for the Spring Summer ’12 season sees a combination of shirting, basic tees, brilliant legwear and some lighter outerwear pieces perfect for the Spring months.

In terms of outerwear they present the Tramp Jacket. An anorak produced using a combination of cotton and nylon keeps it lightweight, making this  an essential for the Spring and early Summer.

With obvious influence drawn from the timeless piece of lightweight outerwear, the classic windbreaker, details on the Tramp jacket include continuation of the vertical stripe design down the zip, red stitching detail on the left chest along with a red zipped additional compartment. Other features include elasticated cuffs, an adjustable hood and hem and also a stiched badge with logo.

The Midnight Hunter shirt from Libertine Libertine is further evidence of their motivation  for high-quality and design and also the consideration that goes into pieces they produce. The long-sleeved shirt is lightweight, made from 100% cotton, again making it perfect for the Spring Summer season and sits as a smart casual piece for any occasion.

Notable features include the vertical stripe design which uses a washed red, blue and white combination, labelled Midnight Blue. A contrasting red sleeve button with white stitching above the cuff, single chest pocket and also the signature Libertine Libertine boat logo are also all present.

There are 2 variations of design of the ‘Brake’ T-Shirt in the collection the first of which incorporates a repeated horizontal stripe pattern in Wind Chime and Chinese Red colourways. The other style is a more basic block colour tee in  a Forever Blue and Bossa Nova colourway.

A highlight of the collection for us is most definitely in the legwear from Libertine Libertine this season. The men’s dark olive Chant Chino and Camel shorts are  both made using 100% cotton, and use features including two rear welt pockets with contrasting blue buttoned fastenings, a stitched logo badge along with a larger buttoned closure and zip fly. They also add a Libertine twist on the camo trend of this season, with both the shorts and chinos using a camo print on the interior lining, perfect to show off if you prefer to sport the turn up.
