APC (Atelier de Production et de Creation) which translates as the creation and production of clothing, started up way back in 1987 by Jean Touitou, who spent seven years as a Trotskyist revolutionary before he decided to redirect his attention to producing brilliant quality mens clothing.
APC's Miesian 'less is more' approach to their clothing seems to have become lost in time but certainly still has a strong aesthetic that we really appreciate.
More...The denim is some of the best you will find, the materials are of the highest order and the production quality is second to none, and this is what makes APC one of the champions of French style.

From the start they carried high-fashion and exclusive denim brands mixed with second hand clothing — a blend that attracted the young and trendy of Stockholm. Some of the denim sold in the shop was very expensive and Örjan felt there was a need for cheaper, but still fashionable jeans. The first style "Tight" was born and at this point made exclusively as an in-store brand. An unwashed, very tight fitted stretch denim jean for a shockingly good price! It was an immediate success and the first 800 pairs sold out in a couple of weeks. The skull logo was made by their friends Björn and Karl who had helped them with the imagery for the store.
More...In January 2005, Cheap Monday was developed into a brand with a full scale collection and the distribution was extended to selected stores in Sweden as well as abroad. A new company, Weekday Brands, was established by the three companions Örjan Andersson (design), Adam Friberg (production and code of conduct) and Lasse Karlsson (economy and establishing strategies), together with Sanna Atldax (design), Karl Grandin and Björn Atldax (graphics and marketing). In April 2005 the first order for a non-Weekday shop left Sweden.
Our idea is still to offer the customer fashion at an extremely good price. We want to put Cheap Monday alongside more expensive brands, in good stores where we want to shop ourselves. We are aiming to create clothes that compete with high-end brands both in attitude and fashion-level as well as in quality.

Manhattan based design duo Prathan Poopat and Flavio Girolami (Common Projects) render understated luxury in their Italian made Nappa leather sneakers. Tonal laces and uniform colors throughout make for straightforward minimalism, while hand-stitched out-soles reveal attention to detail. The signature stamp at the heel provides the only brand indicator allowing the sneakers to speak for themselves... except to those in the know.

MAKR Carry Goods are a small collective of artisan craftspeople based in Florida. By working with their hands, drawing at 1:1 and building prototypes, they approached the task with a more visceral approach which directs the product down a user driven, ergonomic route. They stain the leather, laser etch each piece, build prototypes, edge paint, buff and wax the finished pieces, and apply hardware like buttons, snaps and straps.
More...Makr was founded under the premise that they would craft every aspect of the final product. Available in very limited numbers.

S.N.S. Herning was founded in 1931 by Soren Nielsen Skyt (1899-72). As a young man, he made a living from selling knitted garments of his own making in central Jutland, Denmark. In the late 1920'es, he learned about a way of knitting garments with "bubble" patterns that would serve as insulation and protect its wearer from the rough weather at sea.
More...Knitting machines with so-called Jacquard strapping was being imported to Denmark from England & Germany - and Soren Nielsen Skyt bought one, and set out to have the machinery make these patterns. S.N.S. Herning has been knitting the re-nowned fisherman's sweater after the exact same recipe as that of the founder since 1931.
The mill is still situated in the city of Herning, and the knits are being crafted with the use of the same traditional technique & knowledge - with the son of the founder heading the production. It is all about traditional technique.
